This center covers the needs of newborn infants up to the age of six and their
parents. It was established in 2005 to bridge a gap in services offered to this
age group.
This program focuses on both the parent and the child. It is run by a an early
intervention specialist and most activities are implemented one on one , as
goals are individualized according to each child's specific needs.
The classes teach developmentally appropriate skills for children, facilitate
expanding social skills, provide speech and physical therapy as needed, and
offer general knowledge to parents and teach them how to work with their
children at home.
This program is very important to facilitate a child's smooth transition to
regular schools, or other centers for persons with special needs.
