The association provides training and employment opportunities in sheltered
workshops situated on its premises. In these workshops, our trainees practice
various vocations, according to their abilities and interests, and receive
minimum wages for their work.
We currently have trainees working in the following fields:
- Candle production
- Cooking and baking
- Bamboo /wicker
- Weaving mats and small rugs
- Sewing , Embroidery and Knitting
- Fabric Printing (Batik)
- Carpentry and Ironwork (ferforge)
Assembly Lines
As most of our beneficiaries are adults, securing employment opportunities is
of utmost importance to RTLA.
Through an agreement with a multi-national company, we have been able to create
employment opportunities in sorting and packing soap, shower gel and
toothpaste, at the association's premises.
This is the first time in Egypt that a multinational company agrees to transfer
a section of an assembly line outside its factory, and we were lucky to benefit
from this initiative.
